Well worth the time if you’re a baseball guy.

Gordon McKernan - no thanks.

Likely pumps more NIL $ to getting dudes here than this entire board combined. We probably should say thanks.

So glad he has made so much that give to NIL off of insurance companies that then passes that bill to me and all the other Louisiana drivers.

Can you fix this sentence?

Its crazy yall hate personal injury lawyers more than insurance companies. Brainwashed just like the insurance lobbies want you to be, pathetic.

Way better interview than expected. Gordon is a solid interviewer.

Say thanks? He spends over $20 million a year on advertising. Using money he steals from us. Louisiana pays the most in auto insurance in the nation.
He uses 10% of his advertising on NIL so schmucks like you can say thanks.

Just say “I hate the rich because I’m not rich”.

The problem isn’t the insurance companies. Other states have the same insurance companies but don’t have our absurd rates. It’s our tort law and our tort culture. That should be obvious.

I love the Lipsey's. I love Holden Sphat (who spends way more than Gordon). No problem with people with lots of money. This guy Gordon makes his money by stealing from us. Than spends 10% of his advertising budget on LSU players. So morons can tell him thank you and think he is great

Please enlighten me. Insurance is sold in every state in the nation. Explain how the insurance companies pick Louisiana to screw over.
Now I can tell you Louisiana does not have Tort reform. And Gordon makes sure he lines the pockets to make sure we don't.

You can apply that same logic to a pretty large group of industries in America.

Litigation rates in louisiana are a factor, sure.
But Louisiana is also near the top of the list of states with highest serious accident rates, drunk driving rates, uninsured/under-insured motorists rates, auto theft/burglary rates, and natural disater rates.
Even then its still not the highest insurance rate state. Insurance companies can choke on a ballsack.

Ignoring all the bitching about ambulance chasers versus insurance companies (spoiler alert - they both suck), there were some interesting tidbits I hadn’t heard from CJJ before.
Notably, he sees recruiting players as “picking my family,” which is why he values character so highly. He doesn’t drink and didn’t know what jello shots were before 2023. Bear assumed a leadership role this year that was outside his comfort zone. Jay felt the team last year lacked toughness, which he defines as “focusing on your job no matter what else is going on.” He got ejected intentionally once and they lost so he doesn’t do that anymore. Character means “making man decisions, not boy decisions.”
Good interview, thanks for posting.
