Well….When you’re at the top, there’s only one way to go. He better be working the portal and HS players.

Successful people don’t stop and rest. They take a tiny victory lap and then get right back at it.

The 24Hr rule of good or bad, celebrate if good/analyze what you did to make it good and what can be done to make it better….the same if it’s a bad outcome, root cause analysis, identify what went wrong/why and how do you prevent/solve it to have a better outcome!

JJ definitely isn’t Paul Mainieri. Much different mentality. He isn’t the get comfortable and complacent type. Definitely doesn’t throw players under the bus routinely.

For people who are truly elite at their craft they are never satisfied. It’s never good enough and the second you become satisfied you get passed up

As am I.

CJJ is making Saban look like a socially unacceptable, gainfully unemployed street bum.

It will be tough to build a dynasty like the ones we’ve seen in previous decades in the current competitive college baseball landscape, but if anyone is going to do it, it would be Jay Johnson. Two titles in three years (and four years total with the program) is extremely impressive.

The cool thing about Jay is that he's only 48, and doesn't seem like a MLB guy.

Much like Saban, I'm not sure if his skill set would translate. So he could have a 20 year run here.
