Braced pistol caliber truck gun

What’s the “best” truck gun?
Must shoot 45acp or heavy 9mm (subsonic)
Threaded barrel
Folding or telescoping pistol brace
I think I might mount a magnet under the back seat that lifts/folds upwards for easy access.
Cannot be a “rifle” as it will stay loaded in a moving vehicle including on highway.

Budget?
B&T APC9 or H&K sp5
I have both and they both have a brace on them.
But not sure I’d leave them in the truck.
Maybe an Aero Precision EPC. AR format that works very well.
Why do you want a pistol caliber? I keep a 10.3” AR in 5.56 in my truck.

No idea what to spend. $500 to $3000 I’m guessing. Budget isn’t important.

Thanks, I will look into them.

I wouldn’t leave it in my truck in a parking garage in New Orleans. It would be for SHTF type stuff or shooting a vicious pit bull before it eats a baby type stuff. Maybe even shoot some snakes and beer cans.

I was thinking something a little cooler and a little more badass than a regular AR pistol. But it is on the table.

Subsonic so I can suppress it and have it be quiet. I guess a 300 AAC BLK would work too. I was thinking 45acp though. Some big fat 230 or 250gr bullets.

You can’t carry a loaded rifle in a vehicle in Louisiana?

Not a gun law, but green jeans has given out tickets for hunting on or near a public road. Less likely maybe with a pistol. Or maybe it’s not worth worrying about.

who's going to willfully keep a $3000 firearm in their truck as a truck gun?

Don't do stupid and it isn't worth worrying about. I always have a 30-30 or 6.5 grendel with me. It isn't a problem.

PSA akv-9 is a pretty sweet setup with a side folder and a 35 round stick mine has metal hand guards and it’s a heavy sob maybe the wooden forearms are more manageable for a truck gun.

If budget isn’t a concern I’d get an HK Sp5\Sp5K Get SB tactical folding brace. MFI low profile mount and a good red fit and call it a day.
You can get a zenith SP5 for about $1500. They are made on HK tooling and have a lifetime warranty. I have the K version and really happy with it.

Glad I don't live in LA then. I always have my 30-06, and AR and several pistols in mine. Hogs and such.

The SW Shield full size in . 45 is a good one. Been impressed by it. If stolen, not out much money.

Currently running a 458 Socom AR pistol with 7.5 inch barrel and telescoping blade. I 3D printed a snap on cover for the blade to give more area to absorb recoil. I added a Barrett style tanker brake to also help. It is a thumper. Built it as a joke but actually keep it in my Jeep.
I figure I could take out an engine if I had to with it. You know, the old road rage.
PSA parts mostly, Rise armament trigger.

Check out Foxtrot Mike.
Running a 7" barreled 9mm. Threaded for suppressor, Glock mags, sliding brace with a Fastfire dot. Reliable, fun and didn't break the bank.

For a truck gun shtf I use a keltec sub2000 that uses Glock mags and keep a couple 32 round mags with it.
