Any odds out on this?
I’m guessing the line will be 33, and I like the under.

So do the Atlanta Hawks.

That’s a good line. I’ll say over but marginally. I don’t think we’re done yet with setting up the roster. 28-36 wins is my guess as of now.

I think that’s a good guess. Which would be a top ten pick this year.

18-30 wins. Team sucks bad. Hawks getting a high lottery pick. Arena will be empty to start 2026.

All you do is shite on the pelicans and the city. Your life must be absolutely pathetic to literally post every negative comment every day on the PELICANS board. You provide zero constructive depth on how they can improve but just keep saying how bad they are. Get a life and stop bitching. No one is asking you to be here to root for the team.

I’m going 43 wins. A feeling that this team will stay healthy and that the rookies will show up.

A healthy team will net us 45 wins. We have a very solid starting five
Poole
Herb
Murphy
Zion
Missi
Poole
Herb
Murphy
Zion
Missi

Completely healthy I think 40 wins tops. Factoring in the inevitable injuries, I think 30 wins

I'm going 44 wins.
It feels like people are glossing over the fact that we have a good roster when healthy. Our win total last year is clouding their judgment.
We had only 1 player who averaged at least 20 minutes per game and played in at least 60 games- Missi.
CJ - 56 games
Jose - 56
Hawkins - 56
Trey - 53
Murray - 31
Zion - 30
Herb - 20
Ingram - 18
Having Zion, Herb & Trey play 55-60 games (trying to be conservative here), adding Poole & Bey, maybe a little growth from Hawkins/Reeves/Karlo/Missi, rookies contributing a little...This team 100% has a chance to push for the playoffs.

Let's look at a projected starting lineup and evaluate the quality of play, compared to the average league starting player:
Poole - above average
Herb - above average
Trey - above average
Zion - above average
Missi - below average
So, four of our five starters produce above average play when they are on the court. Our bench, admittedly, is weak, and Jose is the only guy who would be a rotation player on most playoff teams.
So, without expecting anything from our rookies, our expectations should be firmly tied to the health of Poole, Herb, Trey, and Zion. All four of them were listed in The Ringer's list of the top 100 NBA players.
A team with four top-100 players is a team with above-average talent. So, if you think that we will have a bad record because Zion will start the season fat and then get hurt -- well, no one will blame you. But a season where Zion, Poole, Trey, and Herb each play 60 games? That should be a playoff season.

I'm going over too. I'm thinking 45+ wins, playin team.
Zion and Jones are in contract years (extensions eligible next offseason). Poole is in prove it mode. Murphy wants to take the next step. Missi is still improving. I actually think that Murray plays the last 20 or so games and wants to up his trade value. The rookies will get roles that highlight themselves for potential all rookie recognition. We aren't done making moves either.
There is also another factor. We have no reason to lose or sit players anymore. We have to win. There is no pick next year. No load management or playing it safe. Everybody's jobs are on the line and there is a lot to prove. That is the same for everybody including the players. I think we surprise a lot of people..

I agree. I'd bet on him getting on the floor by February 1st, if not earlier. He was already walking without a boot at the beginning of May. There's zero reason to expect him to miss the entire season.
