BRUSSELS—The European Union is considering lowering tariffs on a range of U.S. imports in a bid to clinch a speedy trade deal with President Trump, according to people familiar with the matter.
EU leaders are set to debate how much they are willing to sacrifice to win over Trump at a meeting in Brussels on Thursday evening. Other concessions under consideration include lowering nontariff barriers, buying more American products including liquefied natural gas, and offering to cooperate with the U.S. to tackle its economic concerns about China.

EU is gonna force themselves to get something done on Trump's terms

BERLIN — German Chancellor Friedrich Merz is demanding that Brussels strike a trade deal with the United States within days, as concerns grow that the EU will end up with an unbalanced agreement that only benefits Donald Trump.
Pushing the issue onto the agenda of Thursday’s EU leaders’ summit, Merz this week slammed the European Commission’s negotiating strategy as “far too complicated.” He called for greater urgency and focus in dealing with the U.S. president — a demand he said he would put to other EU leaders together with France’s Emmanuel Macron and Italy’s Giorgia Meloni.

it just feels like the strike on Iran has basically made Trump even stronger, he'll get his terms whether they like it or not

I’m going to laugh my arse off if this whole tariff strategy turns into a huge economic boon for the US.

We will see. The EU has waffled on its tariff approach about as much as Trump has. Just two days ago they were talking about taking a stronger approach with retaliatory tariffs and whatnot. Their message/approach changes by the day.

Hasn't President Trump's tariffs already shown to have substantially increased revenue to the treasury even with the 10% pause in place?

Germany is right on the edge of being in a recession, if they aren't already in one.
