I am all for Matt Lee becoming full time president. He is a Louisiana guy for a Louisiana school.

He's also got impressive credentials. They don’t just appoint anyone as interim President. Admittedly, I knew nothing about him until last night's speech.

He is not Ed O. He has a PhD from LSU. Ed O would never have sniffed that.

I’m so tired of Louisiana doing this. Let’s just hire whoever is the most qualified to ensure LSU doesn’t go woke and grows both financially and in quality, by increasing enrollment of highly-qualified students scoring significantly higher than the minimum requirements. We have a plethora of other state schools for those barely meeting the requirements. We lose really good students to other more prestigious SEC schools due to our low standards/results combined with LSU not having enough scholarship opportunities to significantly reduce out of state tuition.
There’s a lot to be done and chances are someone inside the LSU bubble doesn’t have the answer.
