Concert ticket prices are out of hand

I never bought tickets outside of app because I’m not 65, but these prices are out of hand. $400 for mid level seats should not be the norm. Kid rock did concerts for $50, you’re telling me now similar level artists charge 8x?

Do you ever not bitch about what something costs?

Don’t worry, we’re all going to be saved by the “Axs Fair” ticketing process. Zac Bryan Red Rocks were sold for $100 for 2 yet resellers are asking $2k-$3k each.
I go to a lot of shows. I have a better time seeing up and coming musicians that I know nothing about out before walking in the door to a small club than I do seeing people I really like for $500+.

Stop going.
But, nah. None of us actually want to participate in capitalism. We just want it to work out for our luxury and entertainment.
If you want the “free market” to work out, then you have to be part of the movement that signals to businesses that they can’t take advantage of people. It’s like the millions of people bitching about Jeff Bezos renting Venice for his extravagant billionaire wedding while clicking “buy now” on all the stupid shite they want on Amazon.

Don’t go if they are too expensive. Supply and demand.
Quit demanding!!

Bands have to find a way to make money. The market for physical media has all but dried up, thus increasing concert ticket prices.

I just saw both shows of Metallica in Tampa. It cost me a small fortune.
It was worth it.

No chance we're going back to cheap tickets with the new buy now, pay later options.

In September, I'll see The Eagles for the second time at The Sphere in Las Vegas. The tickets were expensive, but if I want to see a live show for a popular person or band, it's the price a person has to pay.
I also justify it because this is my only trip/large expenditure for the year, and this is the way I'm choosing to spend my retirement time and money.

He's an aggie, what do you expect?
I saw George Strait, Chris Stapleton, and Parker McCollum this past Saturday night in Boston for $165/ea and didn't think it was too bad. Show was fantastic too.

Let me lay it out for you.
Live Nation - Owns venues and also signs bands to touring and merchandise contracts
Ticketmaster - Sells tickets to venues to see bands
Live Nation owns Ticketmaster.
