I can see us packaging Missi and 23 to move up into very late lottery

I don’t know if this is a good move.

Wonder if #23 + Jose can get us into the teens?

Hawk + #23 could probably get us #30

Could this be to just get more ammo to move up from 7?

Wonder who we are looking at. You have a few bigs that probably won't be available at #23 such as Joan Beringer, Thomas Sorber, Danny Wolf.

Then you have some flexible SFs such as Egor Demin, Rasheer Fleming, Nique Clifford.

There's still a chance 1 of those guys fall at #23 and even at #23 you may still have Jase Richardson, Walter Clayton, Maxime Raynaud, and Ryan Kalkbrenner, Nolan Traore.

Just don't see the need to trade up from #23.

Now if it really would be #23 + Jose/ Hawk to make sure we get our guy then its definitely worth it. Just don't want to give up additional picks or assets unless we are moving to #14-#15 or lower.

I'd rather pick at #23 and #40 than just #19.

yeah I’d imagine either we drafted Maluach and want a Wing/guard in the late lotto, or we take another big like Sober or Queen with that trade.

if we’re looking to trade up from 23 I don’t see anyone else on this roster that would interest other teams. Like I don’t think Jose and 23 is gonna move you up much. Missi feels like the only realistic asset that has intriguing value to get you in the 10-16 range.

Just feels like if we’re serious about moving up from 23 it’s gonna take a young asset who’s still a project in missi.

There’s quality in that range at center with guys like Queen and Sorber who are a little more well rounded in their games.

Or we take the Duke big at 7 and are willing to rock with Malauch and Karlo next season. Maybe sign a cheap FA big with them. Then take a guard wing in the 10-16 range

Missi had a good year but feels more like a very solid rotational big than a guy you think is a full time starter and a defensive stopper.

Not saying we should 100% do this but I don’t see another package that moves you up in that late lotto range

He was one of the best rookies in the league last year.

You need to work on your feels

It depends on where in the teens we are trying to go. #12, yeah not gonna happen with our offer.

Jose + #23 + #40 could definitely get us #18-#20 IMO. #16-#18 I'm not sure and anything below that just forget about it with that package.

Tbf it was a really horrible draft class so I don’t think that’s saying a ton.

He broke ADs rookie rebound record, looks like our best rim protector since Tyson Chandler, and actually displayed some back to the basket stuff.

Hes closer to being DeAndre Jordan than a backup

Agreed but there's also no guarantee that any center in this draft will end up better than Missi including Maluach. Realistically we should have Missi off the bench even if he does end up being our future starter. We definitely shouldn't trade him tho, especially with no additional help at center.

I agree I’m not saying we have to do that trade. All I’m saying is if the team was serious about moving up from 23 to the late lotto, I think it would take an offer like that.

If we just wanted to move up a handful of spots then it’s a different discussion.

My fear is that Dumars would jump on his at 7. I sure hope not.
