And yet, the very next article has Gainesville as the #9 "Best College Towns in the United States for 2025"

So no colleges in St. Louis, Baltimore, and Nola? Interesting article.

They never been to BR, list flawed.

BR isn't on the list because it's not technically a "college town." It is indeed a more dangerous city than all of those listed.

This list isn't worth monopoly-money.
Memphis?
New Orleans?
Baton Rouge?
Louisville?
Miami?
Little Rock?
St. Louis?
Birmingham?
Atlanta?
Baltimore?
The writer of this article lives in a gated community, has purple hair, drives an electric car, and spends lunchtime at Starbucks. No clue about real life.

Definitely seems like a flawed list. There's no way BR doesn't have a higher violent crime rate than most of those cities, and probably all of them.

It being THE safest is hilarious.

Tempe makes the top 10 dangerous cities and then also in the following article on that site it makes the top 10 best cities…..hold on, wait. Minute…….something ain’t right.

A list with an agenda.

These lists are always made for clicks.
The statistics list murder, rape, and other crimes.
What other crimes? Shoplifting? Marijuana in a dorm room? Parking tickets?

I am actually shocked BR is not in the top 10. But also a good thing.

I think they are only counting what they consider “towns”. If you consider NO, BR, and Memphis cities they aren’t going to pop up. They are looking at towns like Oxford, Auburn, and Starkville in the SEC. Apparently viewed Gainesville and Tuscaloosa as towns also.

Gainesville..and Tuskaloser are number 1&2!
As with all lists, it depends on the specific criteria and the agenda of the author.

Yeah, something isn't right with that list. Memphis, New Orleans, St Louis, and Philly are more likely to have violent crimes.

Not sure how we didn't make it honestly.

OK - must be pure college towns. I think of so many places like New Orleans/Tulane, Detroit/Wayne State, South Chicago/UoChicago....
