Il miss quite a few of these guys but I ll miss those death stares he would give the opposing team and the timely hits he executed when we needed them most.

This season has been a blast. Geaux Tigers!

He gets lost in the mix but yeah he was great all year. Quiet star and he will be missed. The position will be okay though. Arambide will be one of the stars of the team moving forward

He was very solid on offense and defense! He will absolutely be missed. Arrambide will rise up, I believe.

From barely playing catcher last year at Indiana St, to being a rock begin the plate this year. I was pleasantly surprised by his defense. He was a huge reason the pitchers were so dominant this year.

It’s weird. The superstars we had on this team and I was most excited for guys like Hernandez and stanfield to hoist that trophy.

They weren’t the only ones.. just came in, did their work, didn’t complain or gloat, and won

That dude was a wall these last 2 games. A lot of strikeouts on breaking pitches in the dirt and they didn't even bounce away

It was great to have a catcher that was an actual offensive threat again. I think Arrambide can surpass him on offense and defense (throwing out runners at least) with a good off season of hard work.

Luis was a huge part of this championship run, what an awesome portal pickup.

Hernandez had a GREAT postseason. Our top 4 hitters by avg were Curiel, Milam, Brown, and Hernandez.

Hernandez was great at the things I want in a catcher…1) managing the pitchers in game 2) receiving the ball, blocking, not giving anything away free 3) being an offensive threat.

Throwing runners out is at the very bottom of my concerns for a catcher now. Stealing bases is not as prevalent as is used to be. With so many high velocity pitchers and dudes with just nasty stuff, getting the runner to scoring position isn’t as valuable as it once was because you’re always a strikeout or two away from it not mattering anyways. Don’t have dudes out here poking the ball around swinging for singles and that 1 run. It’s all about the long ball now.

If my catcher can stop anything free and dumb from being given away, I could give 2 shits if he gives up a steal or 2 per game.

Everytime he turned on one to left field I thought it was a HR off the bat

Agreed. He was a complete catcher and I enjoyed seeing him field his position. He was a constant threat at the plate. Very refreshing.

One of all his skills, the one that impressed me the most was his base running. He took a bunch of extra bases and put a lot of pressure on the defense.

Jay mentioned a few times having high character guys that they picked up who were team first, mentored the younger guys, and were mature. My first thought was Brady Neal. Glad we picked up Hernandez.
