Possible theory on why Trump decided to bomb Iran

The Israelis wanted those sites taken out. Trump probably wanted the Israelis to do it themselves but they couldn’t do it without using their nukes so we went ahead and did it to keep the Israelis from being the first country since WWII to use a nuke in anger.

Iran told the Europeans during negotiations they would never give up the nuclear program.
Nothing more for Trump to talk about with them.

Globally you are wrong but correct on Israel. Iran is about to fall and Europe, Asia, Africa, and the Middle East were highly worried that the Islamic terrorist would get their hands on the nuclear material and make dirty bombs.
This was a global issue that Trump just solved without putting one single US troop on the ground.

Another take. Once Israel went balls deep on Iran it forced our hand. Had we not taken out the nuke sites and someday when Iran got them they would have used them on Israel.
I do not support war in Iran
I do support us taking out the nuke sites
Now we might have defend ourselves if Iran tries anything but if not then Israel can take care of the rest and the world is safer if Iran doesn’t have a way to make nukes.

Trump did this to as a reminder to those who like to play the FAFO game.

I’m saying Israel was not the real reason we did this. Turkey, Saudis, Egypt, Pakistan, China, Russia, EU, etc pressured Trump to take it out before the Islamist took over these areas and sold the stuff on the black market to advance the global intifada.
You are also correct that Israel has the capability to do it but using Nukes would make them public enemy #1 globally for using Nukes. This is a way to establish a new modern regime in Iran and actually tone down the instability in the region.
Afghanistan of all places was concerned about Iran’s nukes because they didn’t want these idiots dirty bombing using nukes in their country.
