Entergy warns of more power outages. Suggests turning up A/C to between 78 and 82 degrees

Just letting y’all know. Hopefully they won’t pull the plug again like they did during Memorial Day weekend. Wouldn’t that suck if they pulled the plug during the LSU game.

My AC stays on 78. It’s 100 degrees outside. 78 is plenty cool enough coming in from working in the shop.

It’s not Entergy’s call. The SPP or MIYO or whoever the regional power pool that’s monitoring the system load makes the call. They direct Entergy to shed load to prevent rolling blackouts. If Entergy feeds DEMCO subs and they are in the area directed for load shed, they are going out too.

I keep mine at 77 and upstairs is 80 because no one lives there for now. If you need less than that you probably need to lose some weight.

I just leave ours on 71 pretty much year around.

I might bump it up to 76 when we go on vacation, and we do use the heater maybe 5-10 times per year.

Otherwise we just let it roll all year long.
