Why is the media pushing it is Lsu vs America? Everyone outside of louisiana is pulling

For Coastal.
I have heard this narrative all day on all of these interviews.
There are more lsu fans in Texas, Mississippi, Alabama and Florida than what they think. It's not just Louisiana.
Are they doing this to pump the team up?
I guess it's a good thing when you're on the same level as some other legendary franchises like the Yankees,Lakers, Patriots and the Cowboys,.

The LSU fan base is still small when you combine everyone else.
They’re the underdog, people love an underdog story.

Its a slow 2 days waiting for the next games, so they are looking for talking points. Embrace it. It feels good to be the alabama of college baseball. You think it bothered them that everyone else was rooting against them?

My brother. It is LSU vs anybody else who watches this game. You're about to watch the equivalent of a usually downtrodden P5 school take on Alabama in the national championship game. I don't say G5 because Baseball is a bit more fluid.
Nobody else but us wants to see LSU win.

This has nothing to do with CC vs LSU. This is about, can CC go 28-0 to win the CWS Championship.

Only want unbiased umpires. Don’t care about the media and national fans.

You should appreciate what a good problem this is.
Most of the country is rooting for CC because unless you follow college baseball regularly, most people have never heard of them. But everyone has heard of LSU
We are the Alabama, NY Yankees, NE Patriots of college baseball. Of course the casual fan with no real rooting interest is pulling for the perceived underdog.
Be thankful that we are so respected and feared as a program, the casual fans is pulling against us because they want to see what they perceive as a monumental upset.

Does not matter. LSU just has to execute the game plan. Play Tiger baseball and win the next two games. Take the trophy back to BR. End of story.
