Raising legitimate objections isn't the same as panic. I think you actually know this but yet you still persist with the rhetoric. It's of course good news that Trump realizes ground forces would be bad.

Is introducing ground forces ever not bad? Would anyone think otherwise, whether it be D or R, average Joe or President? Folks are greatly oversimplifying this entire situation and discussion.

US troops going to Iran was never an option. Everytime Trump does literally anything, the concern trolls run wild crying about how they no longer support Trump, even though they never did. US troops being deployed to Iran was just another fantasy the concern trolls came up with.

The only time to put boots on the ground is if you mean to occupy. You can’t occupy crazy.
This isn’t Japan or Germany and if we had not had the bomb Japan would have been a bloodbath.

Its mostly out of his hands once he bombs them.
We have thousands of troops nearby who are surrounded by groups who will side with Iran.
If 20 US soldiers in Iraq are blown up as a response to our unprovoked bombing of Iran do you really think Trump won't be forced to respond?

We will lose the midterms badly, Trump will be impeached and a true lame duck, and JDV will be severely diminished for 2028.

I think doing ANYTHING there is a bad idea. If Israel wants to take out Iran, put together a coalition willing to work on it. Why in the everliving frick does it always have to be us?

That's assuming the US bombs them, the leadership dies and they capitulate. Which i guess could happen but l what if Iran retaliates, and is able to sink a couple aircraft carriers, maybe blow up a US base or two in the region. Or Block hormuz and create a serious global inflation event. Things could easily escalate and then boots on the ground becomes much more conceivable.
