ULL picked a bad time to start fading in baseball. With Southern Miss and Coastal in the Sunbelt, it could be a power league. They made a mediocre hire to replace Tony (RIP) and he hired at least one absolute garbage assistant.

I live in Lafayette and don't get that impression. They were much better under Tony Robichaux than they are with Deggs. Not even close

Coastal won a national title. That's the difference. And it matters.

They were much better under Robichaux. If you look at the team's history, they are very similar, except the Chanticleers won a Natty in their one previous CWS appearance and the Cajuns did not in theirs.

The Chanticleers are definitely the better program right now.
