I'm an average Springsteen fan, but I'll see this for the cast.
Jeremy Allen White
Jeremy Strong
Paul Walter Hauser
David Krumholtz

This will probably be a pretty interesting movie. I say that as someone who thinks Springsteen is one of the most overrated musicians of my lifetime.

I'm also just an average Sprinsgteen fan, and I rarely like such biopic.
This looks okay, and the cast is great. I'm sure I'll see it at some point.

Not a Springsteen fan at all, but this cast is amazing. Stephen Graham is always great.

Good cast but music bio pics are terrible with few exceptions

This coming off the Dylan biopic has some big shoes to fill. Springsteen is no Dylan.

A Complete Unknown was excellent.
My issue with this one is that it seems to be such a small portion of Springsteen's life/career. I'm not particularly interested in a movie about him recording an album that, aside from maybe one song, I don't really care about.

Springsteen wasn’t a substance abuser so that kinda makes me think it might be boring

In terms of quality of movie, the only impressive feature of A Complete Unknown was Chalamet, for me at least. Could this clear that bar with a great performance from White? Sure. Will I expect it? No.

A Complete Unknown covers 6ish years of Dylan's life. A larger portion than this appears to cover but I assume the flashbacks to his father and Springsteens childhood will make it feel larger.
If they were going to pick a 6 or so year period without flashbacks I'd say the release of Born to Run, firing his manager and not being allowed to record the follow-up, then recording Darkness on the Edge of Town, The River and Nebraska (which leads into Born in the USA since Nebraska was intended to be BITUSA) would be the period but that's a lot of albums and would get lost.

Is that an actual popular song or is it a parody?

correct - but he has been unfaithful to his first wive (and maybe his second), so there is that

I will not be watching. Not because Bruce is an insufferable elitist commie twatwaffle, but because his music is terrible, braying donkey chuff.

Based on the trailer it looks like part of the movie will center around him making the album Nebraska, his GOAT album, and the one I recommend to people who say they aren’t Springsteen fans. Im not generally a biopic fan, especially ones based on famous musicians. More often than not it comes off feeling like someone playing dress up, but I’ll be checking it out.
