Facilitating his removal was a huge mistake. For all the shitting on him, he modernized that nation.

Him being an ally to America in the ME was his downfall.

Who do you think facilitated his removal, exactly?

Iran hasn't been the same since radical Islam took over (just a couple of years after this interview).

"When his oil revenues run out in an estimated two decades"

#MuhPeakOil was a thing among the fear-mongers even 50 years ago.

Carter also was directly responsible for the fall of Rhodesia.

If ever a country would have been, and should have been the Americans' natural ally and younger brother, it was the 'Desians.

But Andrew Young wanted to put the enlightened Robert Mugabe in charge. WakandaForever and all.

Remind me, did Iran run out of oil way back in 1996 as predicted?

Haven't you posted about him before implying a negative connotation for the US (via the Cee Eye Ay)?

I remember in the 80's all of a sudden you had a bunch of Iranians running around Ruston, apparently they liked the engineering department at La Tech.

The fine Christian folks of North La weren't quite sure what to think about them.

"AI" - Louisiana Tech University did enroll Iranian students in the 1980s, including during the Iran hostage crisis and the Iran-Iraq War. While the crisis in Iran led to strained relations between the US and Iran, it did not prevent Iranian students from studying at American universities, including Louisiana Tech,

Can we name a single move we have made in the ME over the last 70 plus years that didn’t turn out be a mistake?

"We" didn't remove the Shah

We did put him in power, which is seen as a major inflection point in creating the modern extremist-Islamic Middle East.

This revisionism is impressive, though. Lots of people who claim to hate the Deep State are celebrating one of the biggest and most impactful Deep State moves of all time (installing the Shah to thwart socialism and the USSR from getting a proxy in the ME).
