Would this split only occur with ordinary boots on the ground?

What if we only bombed Iran and maybe some spec ops?

If we did a Ukraine scenario where we just provide them with weapons, how bad would that be?

Or could MAGA survive with a full on operation with no splinter factions?

I think some will eat the shite for a while and then do the cope move and say "better than Kamala" and come back into the fold.

There's too much in-group for people to risk fully turning their back on this social group/identification they've invested so much in for going on a decade.

Remember yesterday when you were wrong about the shooter. See you’ve already moved on

No, because that didn't happen, but nice attempt at deflection/diversion

No new wars. That was a mantra once upon a time but situations are fluid.

I think getting into a full armed conflict with Iran short of some kind of Iranian attack on the US would be a huge issue.

Simultaneously, I think MAGA is Trump and he dictates 70% of his followers opinions.

The re-branding of interventionism as peace through strength did buy some time. But, the massive support will be gone if this goes further -- MAGA is just going to be left with diehards like SDV, mot, and RobbBobb.

Troops on ground would separate Trump from his base, probably permanently, yes.

Bombing and special ops would stress it but it would continue.

Giving them weapons like Ukraine so they can bomb iran for the next year or two, that would not fly. It would hollow out Trump’s support from his base over the course.
