If true, I am heartbroken.
I live in an area with quite a few Persians. All are either direct refugees from the 1979 Islamic revolution or direct descendants.
They all want the ayatollah gone. This is the standard Iranian wish. Only a tiny sliver of Iranians want the current regime to stay.
I see no reason why my Persian friends aren’t representative of Iranians at large.

Given the Hebrew propensity towards being extremely successful in their black endeavors, I'd say that if they had ever seriously wanted to take out Khamenei, he'd be dead.
They're like Russia. They don't care who you are or where you are. If they want you dead, you die. It's become very clear in just the past week, how deeply embedded Israel is within all levels of Iranian leadership and military. If I'm the Ayatollah, I'm dealing with some serious butt pucker right now.

The best outcome IMO is for the Iranian people to take out the Ayatollahs and the Revolutionary Guard.
