Family member talks to themselves.

I’m not sure how to approach this family member to discuss the behaviors I have observed. I know their medical history does not have any type of mental health diagnosis.
They talk to themselves. A lot. Not when they are immediately around other people, but when they are by themselves even if other people are in the same house. They don’t talk harmful things, but they go up and down in their intensity with the conversation. It seems like there are different “roles” by the way conversations go. One is angry, one is sad, one is logical, one is encouraging. The person doesn’t use different voices, but there’s a pattern to the conversation.
What do I do? What can I look up to learn about before I approach them? They are healthy, late 30’s, educated, and successfully living on their own. They don’t have kids or a spouse though. I’m not scared OF them, I’m scared FOR them. Again, it’s not harmful talk. They just sorta don’t like themselves and the common ending is “frick it, you’ll be fine even if no one gives a shite. Show them how fine you will be by doing what they said you couldn’t.”

I have a family member that does this, it creeps me tf out... seriously think of demons sometimes with the frantic loud whispering.
I have no solutions, just can relate.

Conversing with oneselfes is a sign of genius. I believe it was einstien that regularly had spirited debates with himself to figure out equations. Turned out pretty well for him, i would say so!

“Hey, Steve, listen, you seem healthy, support yourself financially, and are independent and hard working. But, I notice you talk to yourself.”
“And…”
What an odd post. Lol

If OP's situation is anything like my own experience with a similar situation, these aren't 'productive' self conversations.

They aren’t hurting anyone but their own id and ego. They aren’t depressed or negative but the conversations show that they really don’t like themselves. They have sabotaged relationships (hence no kids or spouse) because they are convinced they will frick it up in the end. Oddly enough, they are the easily one of the most regularly laid people I’ve known. It’s difficult because they do all the right things, have the looks, not awkward, and outwardly seem extremely confident/secure.
But, they never want anyone too close.

It's funny I talk to myself in the shower... My GF over heard me and she said WTF is going on... I just laughed and explained that I talk to myself sorting out the crap that was on my mind... Don't make it out like it is some mental problem, it's just something people do.. Some admit it and others hide it....

It’s an odd post because it’s an odd situation. When’s the last time you’ve met someone who has a masters, bought and paid for everything they own with no help because they work, appears to have an amazing social life, and doesn’t come off as anything awkward in-person….have self-dialogue with multiple viewpoints ending in them saying they “aren’t going to amount to anything so might as well just keep proving everyone wrong because frick them.”
Yea. Odd.

Definitely doesn’t seem productive despite them actually being extremely productive.

Based on what you’re saying he is saying in his conversations with himself, I think the wrong approach would be to try and confront him about it in a judgemental or condescending way. It seems he has low self esteem or perhaps social anxiety.
Instead I would try the approach “hey man I couldn’t help but overhear you talking to yourself and what you said concerns me. Are you ok? Do you need to talk to someone? Show him that someone does care, and reassure him or compliment him to lift his spirits. If he open to talking try to pinpoint whether he is depressed, has anxiety, or just simply low self esteem. Then you can maybe recommend ways to get help via doctor, therapist, medication, or just give him some advice on coping skills when he starts to feel a bit off

While driving, I hold conversations with myself akin to being interviewed.
Allows me to organize my thoughts and decompress.

I have arguments with myself in the shower all the time! Solving the world’s problems!
Or I relive old arguments with people really tell what I should have said in the moment!
