Israel should not be dictating which wars we get involved in. It’s disgusting seeing these republican congressmen on their hands and knees begging for war. Shame on Steve Scalise. Shame on Mike Johnson. Israel is ballsy enough to launch an offensive strike on Iran. They seem more than capable enough of carrying out and doing this war alone. The U.S. should not get dragged into this. Israel continues to dictate our foreign policy - and the Middle East resentment of the U.S. grows because we allow them to do so. It’s all bull shite. If you took a poll of America - I guarantee the vast majority of Americans would oppose this war. Trump is self-acclaimed “America first” but it seems like he is really Israel first. Peace talks were ongoing and Israel goes ahead and strikes anyway? Nobody wants the U.S. to be involved in this war except the corrupt politicians who are beholden to the Israeli super PACS and have defense stocks. Our government is hopelessly corrupted.

Israel is a bad actor. They’re slaughtering civilians in Gaza. No side is right in this. The U.S should be seeking peaceful resolution.

They drastically reduced enrichment and centrifuge capability with the JCPOA signed in 2015 under the Obama administration. The problem with that deal was it was a ticking time bomb because the restrictions put in place phased out after 10-15 years. It was essentially kicking the can down the road. Trump withdrew the US in 2018 from the deal. Since that point they kicked everything into high gear under the Biden administration.
They are very close to enough weapons grade uranium for numerous nuclear bombs.

Iran? I think just the fact that Israel took the always risky shot with a large scale military operation, specifically targeting assets of Iran’s nuclear program (human and otherwise), is pretty good evidence of an advanced status of the program.
