Marvel needs to play it safe right now, they don't need anything that'll add controversy. That's why I doubt this is true. Maybe it was true before season 2 of TLOU, but not now. JMHO

Agreed. If they are looking long-term they should go for someone younger, like Julia Butters (16 or 17, I think).
She looks closer to the character, she's younger so she'll be able to play the character longer and she doesn't have any real baggage (at least not yet, because you know how the interwebz can be).

I don't think any actor or actress has rode on the good will of a single good scene as much as Bella Ramsey.
She's like Gal Gadot in that every time I see her act, she is somehow worse at it than the previous time.
