What I can promise Joe (Shmoe), is that as much as he bleeds purple and gold, he doesn't care about the performance of the Tigers as much as Jay Johnson.

Well these armchair coaches were begging Jay to move Bear out of the 2 hole for about 2 weeks before he did. I think we were correct on that occasion

Nobody is above reproach not criticism & JJ isn’t perfect
But
No doubt he loves LSU, is a great coach & does everything in his power to win

To be fair, he wasn't speaking of them negatively.
He said you can't have it both ways, basically, if you want 13k screaming in the stands, you're going to get the other too.

This will surely have the desired effect of modifying the opinions of the rant’s HoF brain trust

My saying is always, “Where you Stand depends on where you Sit”.

Those same people also wouldn’t have about half the roster on the team right now.

My thoughts on this is very simple.
If you want an extremely successful program that is highly successful over a long period of time, you must have a passionate fanbase behind them. You have to have a fanbase that is totally invested. By totally invested, I mean a fanbase that follows every aspect of the program and discusses every aspect of the program amongst each other.
It’s not only ok to be critical of a coach, it’s actually expected in a highly successful program.
Jay Johnson understands all this. He embraces it and definitely isn’t bothered by it. If he isn’t bothered by it, our fans shouldn’t be bothered by fans simply being fans.

A simple GT or STTDB would have sufficed.

They wouldn’t have JJ or Yeskie either.

IMHO he leaves pitchers in WAY too long when it is obvious that things are going south. Almost cost us dearly against Little Rock.

Did you miss the Mainieri era? Jay is better at managing pitching changes than his predecessor was.

And they wanted Yeskie fired, numerous people put at third, yet that for those he tried did not work out, wanted Cowan to start which did not work out, wanted Jake to stay in vs lefties to develop against them, yet Pearson hits a grand slam on Saturday.
And on and on and on.....
The Rant is entertaining.

If it was up to the rant we would burn through 27 coaches a season.
