Terrible situation to put a soldier in. They are trained to kill people and break things, not for whatever this is.

I agree, that while it looks to be a necessary move... it's a hard thing to ask our Marines to face off with their own citizens. Yes, many are illegal or illegal adjacent... but there's plenty of our own homegrown retards out there acting the arse.
No one is downplaying our Marines and their finely tuned capabilities... just that they really are being put in a tough spot.

No spot too tough for the Marine Corps. They can handle pretty much anything professionally including keep the peace missions like this.
