They gave the WV bullpen hell. Someone looked up and found out Bassingers mom’s name. They were yelling “hey Bassinger your mom Angela is hot can I get her number”.

Gave starting pitcher during warmups too. I think he had enough of the box.

You can’t tell me those fans down by the bullpen don’t help create an intimidating presence for the relievers that try to come into the game and squash a LSU rally. For 40 years I’ve been watching opposing team’s bullpen pitchers melt in the Alex Box atmosphere. I love hearing the mock cheers from the fans by the bullpen when a pitcher warming up slings one past the catcher.

And all of you call me crazy for wanting the bullpens to stay where they are and not be moved into seclusion behind the outfield.

I think they have been intentionally placed in the best spot possible. And the fans are right on top of them. And yes, we didnt let up on those guys from the 5th inning on

Ripping on bullpen pitchers is an art

Too aggressive and you get yourself tossed

Too soft and you accomplish nothing

But if you can hit that sweet spot and take their mind off what they’re doing and even possibly get into their head a little bit it 100% can make a difference

Kudos to that group

Also, kudos to the young kid standing behind the catcher umpiring when Meyer was warming up in the pen.

When I saw the WV coach complaining about the bullpen setup at Clemson and the heckling from fans, my first thought was "Do you know what you're in for this weekend?"

I will sheepishly admit that I didn’t hate the new fencing and fan seating down the foul lines as much as I thought I would. If the visitors bullpen stays where it is, the fans can still give them some good natured ribbing and make it hard on them. And I do like that we cut down on some of the huge foul territory that we once had and give our hitters some extra pitches to see. I don’t recall it hurting our pitching much this season.

I’m just amused both glass cock and Stiffler got to pitch in the same game.

Fans behind their dugout seemed to do their part also. That relief pitcher was pissed on his way out of the game. Mouthed off a few FU's

To me getting the bullpens out of play was the main issue not keeping them on the field. But you can't say it also wasn't an advantage to have our guys warming up in the shade Saturday and not the blazing sun.

Remember when we call Clemson trash for having their bullpen right next to the bleachers and students?

I member.

There’s a huge difference in students close enough to reach out a touch a pitcher trying to warm up, and adult LSU baseball fans, generally a lot more good natured than the football fans.

we had the left fielder (Kyle west, their stud) girlfriend’s name by the end of Pearson’s at bat to lead off the bottom half of the 1st on Saturday. Mickayla.

Someone yelled it at him, he turned, and that’s all it took. About 8 sections of bleachers knew they had him in their back pocket for the next 18 innings.

Somebody was getting after Mayer when he walked off. He threw out a bunch of F-bombs to the crowd.

We were right there on Saturday. It was hilarious. There was one guy who was wearing the bullpen out the ENTIRE game.
