Texas tech because of the money they spent and they play in a garbage conference and play a garbage OCC schedule

Illinois
There’s not a single team in the big 12 that would be a surprise.

Definitely Texas Tech. Although not sure they’re much of a sleeper. I’ve seen them picked to win the Big12 a good bit

I know this happens annually but Miami has a manageable schedule.
Home vs ND to open home against UF
Road games look manageable. Does 10 wins get them in?

South Carolina lost some serious talent on defense but they definitely have a lot of potential. Think Oklahoma can make a little noise with Mateer too, but brutal schedules.

Yeah good points I don't know about Oklahoma I think they're bleeding right now as a program
What's South Carolina's early schedule look like
I think Georgia Tech could be trouble if they make the playoffs
I always have a soft spot for the academic schools
great question

OWLFAN86,
You helping Rice with NIL money?
They just got a kid from Bossier City, LA Parkway High to switch his commitment from Yale.

The 6-foot-4, 270-pound defensive lineman has had a change of heart. He’s still choosing a strong educational institution in Rice, but it’s one that is closer to home and that carries athletic scholarships.
“I liked how welcoming the coaching staff and everyone was after the late decision, and that they are still a great academic school like Yale,” Oliver told the USA TODAY Network. “I’m excited for it. I know it’s still a great opportunity.”

Someone with a clown schedule just like IU had last year.

Illinois (not very often I get to talk up my Alma mater in football).
10-3 last year (albeit the Rutgers win was a fluke)
18 of 22 starters returning including the QB.

Ohio State and oregon will be locks due to the system so id say psu and illini could battle for a spot

They will probably expand to 24 in a few years, so who cares?

due to the system
The same system that would have made Bama a lock if they could have beaten a .500 OU team
Edit: or Vandy

It really wasn’t that bad, at least not on paper. They played this year’s National Champion, and last year’s National Champion and runner up.
