Best restaurant dish you have ever eaten?

i want an exact, specific dish. Maybe i can learn about some specific things i have to try.
1. Beef Marrow and Oxtail Marmalade appetizer from Blue Ribbon in NYC. It's perfection....and you can stop in after a night of drinking b/c they serve food until 4 or 5 am.
2. "Bacon" at Grammercy Tavern, in the bar/tavern room. Prob not on the menu anymore but it was the most perfect braised pork belly i have ever seen, served over spaetzle, with a great local beer.
3. tie: Garlic soup at rio mar and squash puree with mexican chocolate at Stella!. I couldn't pick one of these soups. If i had the squash soup a few more times it might lose it's impact, but it was one hell of an interesting and perfect flavor combo. the garlic soup is just so comforting.
note: all of the above dishes were under about $20 or so. wasn't my intention, but i guess i just like simple, great ingredients prepared in a great way.....no need for tons of rich, creamy sauces.

it really is. I wasn't sure if it was still on the menu, but i guess it is. Blue Ribbon tends to be a an after hours hangout for the service industry in NYC. You'll often see "TV' chefs in there late night after their kitchens close slurping down drinks and grubbing. Usually a good sign if those guys can't wait to get there to eat.

the outside if soft, warm pumpkin & the inside is a very strong goat cheese... will change your life. I've been to alot of Mario Bitali restaraunts but Casa Mono is the best. It's just a little brunch place about the size of a telephone booth but it's my favorite place in NYC by far. FWIW, next best in NYC would have to be Per Se

you really should. it's a damn cool joint, not overly dressy either.
If you want some really good Italian you should try out Spigolo in the UES. One of my best friends has been cooking there for a while. He's Filipino, i know you crazy ninjas stick together.

Just Desserts:
Sweet Potato Cheesecake - Galatoire's, New Orleans
Bread Pudding - Galatoire's, New Orleans

Pear Tart Tatin with creme fraiche ice cream - Brasserie Beck, DC
Brandy Milk Punch Ice Cream with cookies - Commander's Palace, Destin

Cippriani's off College had an eggplant and crabmeat gateau that was incredible. One of the few great restaurant dishes I have not been able to satisfactorily copy. I loved that place, especially since it had professional waiters instead of dumbass college kids.

I seem to remember Bourdain saying this is his favorite dish.

The shis-ka-bob at Pinetta's when the Bubola's owned the place. I would drag the meat and onions through the olive oil mixture on the plate before eating. Good stuff. Not so good now.
