Something that always aggravated me

That interview with Jay, “we did a good job that inning of getting his pitch count up”
Not disappointed ab leaving runners on base but at least we got his pitch count up. He always just seems a little too…not soft but idk the right word to use.
I get it’s a media interview and he’s jot going to say exactly what’s on his mind. But I do think that’s his mindset after that pop out, we got his pitch count up.
Idk just always rubbed me the wrong way but no doubt he knows more about baseball than I. That and the 2 out bunts often with your better hitters lol

He’s right though. That pitcher was struggling in the heat. We just had a quick inning. This pitcher will fall apart

Yeah. When your lineup isn’t raking, it makes sense to run up pitch counts but man, it seems excessive.

Im not saying throw people under the bus but say something like…we gotta do better ab leaving runners stranded or being up 3-0 we gotta do better idk just not good job at getting pitch count up
