Trump is not a conservative

Again and again we have seen President Trump act, say and promote ideas that are not conservative.
His stance on debt and spending are the forefront of this. His loyal supporters are quick to remind us that his a populist yet they call fiscal conservatives Rino. So, why should conservatives support him? Are conservatives hostages in a not-so-united front against the radical left? If so, I think it would be logical for the conservative to play hardball with Trump as often as possible.
We need to shrink government not just fire a few employees. We need to cut spending. Trump seem to talk one way but act another. He's grown government and he wants the debt ceiling removed.

He never has been. Conservatives are lame.

Nobody ever considered him a Conservative, he's always been an America First populist.

This isn't news. It's what makes the left reaction to him so hilarious. For my entire adult lifetime dating back to Reagan the Liberals assured me that if only we would stop nominating what they thought of as radical conservatives they would stop behaving irrationally. Then we nominated John McCain and he was portrayed as Hitler. But he was still relatively conservative. Then we nominated Mitt Romney and he was portrayed as Hitler. And he was a little less conservative. Then we nominated a guy who is literally the first person to walk into the office Pro gay marriage. With a history of working closely with Hollywood folks. And who Oprah Winfrey herself used to think of as a good person to consider for president. And the left lost its fricking mind

Trump is simply showing his people what populism means.
Its easier to fool voters than it is constituents.

You don’t get it. All of the so called “spending” and the CBO estimate of $2.4 trillion added to the deficit does not take into account any sort of growth. It is Reaganomics. Keep taxes low, encourage job growth, bring businesses back to America, and encourage business developmentl.
All of this will lead to enormous tax “revenue” over the long term. Not to mention the positive growth with tariffs.
The CBO is saying that the bill adds to the deficit solely due to not raising taxes on people.

Trump is and has always been a moderate democrat. The party went so far left that he looks like a conservative.

1. He genuinely loves this country.
2. He is heads and shoulders above the progressive left. Even democrats realize this, the normal ones anyway.
Any more questions?

The problem with the Congressional budget office isn't that it's dishonest. It's that it's basically mandated to be dishonest. It's the ultimate government creature. They aren't allowed to account for any effects of policy. Basically their mathematical approach can be summarized as Today + changes
Which is a completely retarded way to project the effects of government policy spending and Taxation

Free Markets and individualism are cornerstones of conservatism.
Trumpettes hate these two things.

Trump is a problem solver in a society primarily plagued by left/liberal programs and policies.
He's not a political ideologue.

Well duh, he has never claimed to be. He’s a Clinton era Democrat that has moved slightly more right if that over the years on some issues, but he is still that. I’ve said it here multiple times but the ‘92 campaign platform is essentially the same as what Trump has run on twice now. The reason he has taken hold of much of the Republican Party is because the “conservatives” are all just one and the same with the left when things are boiled down.

The idea that we would grow our way out of debt is just silly. It's the same liberal ideas that every debt loving POTUS has had since Reagan.
Trump can't govern without conservative support. The BBB is probably going to fail because he thought he could bully conservatives into supporting it.
I hope he gets his act together and does some work with those who want to cut. I fear he would rather take on debt, grow gov and be popular before facing the biggest issue of our day, the national debt.

Most importantly, though, he is not a Biden, Harris, Waltz, Clinton, or Obama.

So why should conservatives support a platform that is Clinton era policies?

While Trump is not a conservative, neither are the conservatives. This has been evident since the Reagan administration started us on this road of expanding government debt.
Newt was the last gasp of fiscal responsibility.
