Major cuts to the City of Oakdale’s budget are on the horizon. That’s because a tax measure was not renewed, but not as a result of being put before the voters.

At Thursday’s city council meeting, Mayor David Vidrine said just over one-third of the city’s revenue is gone.

“There was 34.57% revenue lost,” says Vidrine.

They all claimed the problem dates back to the prior administration.

If you combine this with the absolute shite show that is Oberlin's city government, you have to wonder what the ever living frick is going on in Allen Parish?

Do you?

I actually spent a bit of time in Oakdale growing up. One of my friends lived there for several years after moving back to Louisiana because one of his parents married someone who lived there.

This is not the least bit surprising.

The 165 corridor between Alexandria and Lake Charles is one incredibly sad stretch of road.

I'd agree in another town, but who is going to call for their head? It's a town of 6k, median age of nearly 43 years old. Most of population is either senile and don't know what's going on, or they are poor and don't understand how these things work.

Did he reuse his high school graduation announcement photos in his campaign?

Also, is that a new hair style like the New Iberia Cut? This one must be the Oakdale. Thick Bowl cut leave the bangs almost touch the eyebrows.

I do. I happened to be at England AFB and watched them walk single file from a bus to an airplane all chained together.

Oh, and Oakdale is a shithole. Always has been.

Lived there as a kid for 5 years (K - 4th grade) before moving to Sulphur.

Sulphur was a drastic improvement. Should tell you everything you need to know.
