1. Nationals: Kade Anderson, LHP, Louisiana State (No. 3)
Anderson heads into Super Regional play second behind Tennessee’s Liam Doyle in strikeouts among all Division I pitchers and is coming off a Regional start in which he tossed seven shutout innings, striking out 11 while allowing just four hits and two walks. The lefty is athletic, throws strikes and has a legit four-pitch mix. With all of his stuff ticking up in the Regional, it looks like he still has plenty in the tank, checking off the durability box. Oh, he’ll also have just turned 21 before the Draft as a sophomore-eligible prospect.

And I honestly think Eyanson is equally as good!

He has been a boss. Deserves everything he gets. Amazing how durable he's been and never wants to come out of the game. Really dramatic difference between this year and last, I expected him to improve. I don't think anyone thought it would be to this degree.

Wish he was born a few weeks later. Can’t even imagine what his junior season would look like.

Anderson has more IP in less appearances.

And the only reason Doyle is ahead of Anderson is because he came in to close out the regional. Anderson was ahead of him by 3 before that.

Anderson is a more complete pitcher at this time but that gap is closing. And Eyanson has more upside imo.

I honestly feel like the exact opposite is true.

I'm no scout and not going to try and act like one. I'd say Anderson is where he is BECAUSE of his upside. Eyanson has done great for us too, but scouts think Anderson has the most upside and tools. I hope they both have long healthy MLB careers.

I hate TN, but it would be awesome to see Kade and Liam Doyle go head-to-head in CWS!

Two overall number one picks in three years would be pretty impressive

Even more impressive would be national championships in both of those years.

Surprised. Hope it happens for him.

Personally think Arnold and Doyle have more upside and should go higher. But i love Kade

You could make a case eyanson is our #1 currently against college lineups.

Anderson is seen as a higner end prospect because he us left handed, maintains his velo deep into games and has command of 4 legit pitches
