The Elon-Trump "breakup" is nothing but a stunt to get the activist off Elon's back

Elon and his companies took a big financial hit by supporting Trump. The Activists were attacking Tesla Dealerships and private owners in various ways and Elon needed to get some distance from Trump to get the activists off of his arse not to mention spooked stock owners.
I think this has a good chance of being a staged "breakup" to give Musk cover. This will go on for a while and they'll make up.

Sure. But Elon saying he’s the only reason Trump won is BS, and crosses the “fake play” line imo if I were Trump.
I hope trump shuts down H1B visas for that one, and getting to big for his britches.

The thought occurred to me as well. It also serves as a way to find out, on the very real issue of debt/spending with "conservative" voters. It serves as way to really vet out how the next fight for the oval office should be done, and who is best to lead the charge.
So far, I am seeing a slight lean to Trump in all the grass roots type polls I see on X. But a refreshing amount of people are split and favor Elon's supposed stance. Again, we prove that we have minds of our own, moreso than our fellow democratic voters... who are only now learning to feel totally lost and disenfranchised.
The fight for the pulse of America is fully under weigh.

I was listening to a hardcore MAGA radio host who is very much in the know about everything in MAGA world and he actually called this out like a month ago. He said “just watch, there will be a fabricated blowup between Trump and Elon coming soon to help take heat off Elon” and here we are. The radio guy said this about a month or two ago

A month ago this guy was saying that Elon and the president needed to have a public falling out to help Elon?
You realize TSLA was absolutely soaring a month ago, right? 1 month ago TSLA was 35% above it's april trough and continued to gain another 22% in the 3 weeks after that.
TSLA is down 10% today.

Certainly possible, but the timing seems weird to me for a couple of reasons.
1) Tesla stock has been soaring since late April and didn't need the help.
2) There has been a lot of discourse that has gone on within the right over the last several days. Why would they further that right now by asking MAGA to pick between Trump and Elon?
The most likely scenario to me still seems like two powerful men with big egos don't see eye to eye, and they're both too proud to stand down.
