Played TPC and Bayou oaks(north). I enjoyed them both. Stayed in a house about 10 minutes from Burboun St. I ate some good food and had a great time. It was muggy as hell Friday at TPC. I’m from the upstate of SC. All our courses are tight compared to bayou Oaks. Which is good I hit more fairways.. what are yall thoughts on these courses?

They're the best we have for public play in New Orleans. I do however like to venture east into Mississippi when I have more time.

You sure you played north?

North is a 20 dollar goat track

If he’s saying the course was wide he definitely played the south.

South Course is good but it’s bitter sweet because there was an amazing facility there before the storm ravaged it.

I wish they would have just cut back the two courses that were already there instead of making the new South Course. The East and West were perfect as is.

Most I know feel the same way. The course you played used to be two completely different courses but they combined them for one 18.

I have not played TPC but have been there plenty for the Zurich and it seems fine for what it is.

The East and West courses before Katrina were great tho.

Very interesting. We were told just to avoid the other course(North). I saw there was a Levee nearby or a canal I bet that was what flooded right?

The levee you saw is for the Orleans canal. The course facility is directly in the middle of two levees that broke during Katrina (17th street canal and London Avenue). Bayou St. John is the water that runs throughout the course.

The north course doesn’t remotely compare to the south course, so good choice there

Nice! You played the 2 courses in New Orleans that will host a pro tournament next year. LIV is working to get a New Orleans event at Bayou Oaks (south)

That’s neat, I liked the South course. That’s cool, we have that BMW charity golf tournament up here this week

Yep, North and South were easier and not nearly as nice as the East and West courses. The course you played uses the location where the East and West were.

The West was considered the “championship” course but I always loved the East. Had a really great layout with a lot of unique holes meandering through city park.
