Is it top 10?

Is it top 5? I'm guessing not.

Look forward to seeing a top 10 list from people that have seen the past 35 years of LSU baseball.

I would have Skenes' performance vs the Wake Forest ace #1 all time because he was forced to put up all zeroes and save our hopes for another title.

The 9 in a row k’s broke Ben McDonald’s record of 8 straight back in 1989

In relief? That what ya asking? Eyanson went 7 2/3 with no earned runs against the same team the same weekend. Hell he pitched 9 scoreless with 10k if ya count both appearances. If you talking all time Ty Floyd 8 inning 17k game will always stick out in my mind as the best giving the circumstances.

At the end of the day he struck out some guys from little rock in a regional game. Doesn't come close to Ack mowing down batters in Omaha when we really needed someone to step up

Well it was 6 innings and we were down 5-1.

You do understand the significance of what he did last night?

Had we beaten LR 1-0 Friday, then yeah we can talk about Eyanson's outing.

I'm hoping that isn't lost on you.

This is correct , his performance was awesome. But in the end LR is a mid week type team. Would people be saying all time performance if he did it on a Tuesday in march…

Trey Hodges was a solid, but not spectacular, middle reliever and okayed so well in every game eating innings and shutting out opponents that he won CWS MVP. Can win championships with the “little guys” coming up big.

I agree its Little Rock. But this is the same Little Rock team that scored 30 runs in its 2 previous games and put up a 5 spot on our best relief pitcher.

If Evans fails, we aren't talking about next weekend.

Great comparison with Ack and I agree the WS is much higher stakes so the performance should be higher up a top 10 list. That I won't argue.

But if we go on to win title #8, Evans' performance will go down in history as one of the most significant.

No, because it was a post season elimination game and he saved our butt from being embarrassed by Little Rock.

They were seriously overmatched by all our pitchers that weren’t gifting them walks. They scored 3 runs over 3 games that weren’t heavily aided walk innings.

Yea no where close bro, He did a awesome job, Lsu probably doesn't win without him but you act like he closed the thing out and wasn't struggling when he was pulled. Hope that isn't lost on you.

That’s just ridiculous. It wasn’t a Tuesday in March. It was anything but.

There have been SO MANY great moments in LSU BB history...from Pat Garrity's hit against TaM to Warren Morris's HR...etc, etc, etc.

During the championship runs, there always seems to be a hitter and pitcher that steps up and delivers.

That said, I would say Evans performance last night does deserve to be in the top 20 of LSUBB playoff history.

Ty Floyd DOMINATED Florida. He really came on at the end of the year we saw his potential finally being realized. It wasn't just that game but the entire final part of the season Floyd started to show he could dominate.

I don't know where Evans would rank but his performance is easily top 10. When you factor in LSU was dead and acting like they already lost the game in the second. He got on the mound, stabilized the game, dominated, became an alpha on the mound, and gave LSU enough leadership to regain momentum. He was the game changer even though they couldn't have done it without Hernandez/Frey. It was Evans leadership that made all the guys come together to play harder and that's something this team severely lacks at times.

You have to think about implications here and also you have to understand almost the entire bullpen shite the bed and lost composure for LSU. It took a freshman to come in and change the game which is also significant. A freshman. Let that sink in. A star was born on the mound last night.
