When to a drag boat race in the 80s. Product reps were handing out free cans of dip to anyone, minors included, who wanted some.

Went to a car race in the 2000s. They were giving away Kodiak (I think), but it was one can per person, and you had to go through a tent to get ID checked. We had one guy in our group who dipped, so we all lined up, women and all, and got a can for him.

I used to have one tee with Benson and Hedges on it. They sponsored the Dallas Blues Festival for a few years in the 90's. It had this image, without the autographs, on it.

NASCAR was worse. You could legit get dozens of free cartons of cigarettes in the infield. Some of those people would have half their RV filled with cigarettes by the end of the weekend.

Aren’t we all thankful that big nanny government saved us from these things we enjoyed?

But don't you dare put any hard liquor sponsor on a car back in those days.
