So a couple of old prop bombers destroyed = obliterating Russian strategic aviation?

Won't happen unless China invades Taiwan.

Ukraine is attack Russia’s nuclear weapons in Russian law that means they have the legal right to nuke Ukraine.

This is a day after they blew up a bridge into a passenger train

It seems Ukraine wants to show the world Russia won’t nuke them so allies should join the war.

Ukraine is obviously trying to provoke a major attack to garner more sympathy. Just last week Kyiv got bomber the worse in the war because they sent 600 drones to Moscow that did minimal damage.

What kind of response do you think destroying nuclear bombers and blowing up a passenger train will get?

According to the Guardian, it was 40+.

Ukraine launches major drone attack on Russian bombers, security official says
Reported strikes on four airbases in Siberia mark escalation in cross-border incursions before planned peace talks

Ukraine has launched a “large-scale” drone attack against Russian military bombers in Siberia, striking more than 40 warplanes thousands of kilometres from its own territory, a security official said.

The claims could not be independently verified. But if confirmed, the attacks would mark Ukraine’s most damaging drone strike of the war to date, amid an escalation in cross-border incursions before planned peace talks in Istanbul on Monday.

“Ukrainian security services are carrying out a large-scale special operation aimed at destroying enemy bombers far from the front, in Russia,” the official was quoted by Agence France-Presse as saying, adding a fire had broken out at the targeted Belaya airbase.

The official, who spoke on condition of anonymity, said the strikes were conducted by Ukraine’s SBU domestic intelligence agency, and had simultaneously struck four Russian military airbases.

Among the more than 40 aircraft reportedly hit were Tu-95 and Tu-22 strategic bombers, which Russia uses to fire long-range missiles at Ukrainian cities.

Actually Russia only has (or had as of yesterday) about 50 Bear (turboprop) bombers and about 25 Backfire (jet) bombers remaining in service.

The Ukrainians are claiming to have damaged up to 40 of them. I'm sure that's an exaggeration. But even the loss of 10 or 15 would seriously damage Russian bomber operational tempo.

By the way: You don't think it was the Trump administration intelligence agencies who tipped off Ukraine to all these bombers lined up in a row?

From what I read they have 40, Ukraine claimed to have destroyed them all which is probably a lie. More than likely I read somewhere around 6 were destroyed and only 30 were operational. So it seems they may have 20-24 planes still operational.
