I’m assuming so? Not saying it’s the wrong move but I’d love to see Noot as #3 and leave Evans for the back end of games.

Pretty sure noot followed with shores is our defacto #3 at this point. Outside of Evan’s first start he has struggled to get through 4 innings due to pitch counts. Paired with Cowen blowing 2 saves, he is probably back in the pen and saved for a game 4 start if things start to look that way. If we are in a position to end it in game 3 then he’s available

Having Noot, Shores, and Evans in the tank is a luxury. Hopefully Cowan can get some work too to regain his form.

I’d go with Noot with Shores relieving.
You’ll still have Evans/Cowan if another game is required but having those 4 guys available just needing to win a game is an embarrassment of riches imo

Evans should get the ball.
Noot isn't a starter. He's an opener. He has not been conditioned to start all year, so why try this now? He is good for 60 pitches at the most. Velo starts to drop after 45-50.

If Evans starts then you wont see Noot till tomorow if you need him Monday

Has to be Evans. Then Cowan/Shores. I doubt Noot and Evans throw in same game today one will be held back just in case we play tomorrow

Evans and Cowan didnt pitch in the SEC tournament, they need some work

If evans can give you a strong 4-5 innings and the bats dont go full retard, we should be in good shape to cover 12-15 outs from the pen.
