Yeah, and he might not have a spot. Ethan Frey will be competing for 1st base. Jones is not an automatic for that if he chooses to stay.

Not exactly at this current moment, but after an off-season in fall ball, I believe that Ethan Fry will get better and hitting and he was already assumed to come in the first base if Jones would leave so that tells me that he would be competing for that spot. I didn’t say Fry would win. I’m just saying he would compete and it’s not a shoe in for Jones.
