'Dexter: Resurrection' serial killers: See Neil Patrick Harris as 'Tattoo Collector'

Neil Patrick Harris is Lowell, aka “The Tattoo Collector”: The successful anesthesiologist targets victims with tattoos to add to his grisly collection.

Krysten Ritter is Mia, aka “Lady Vengeance”: A serial killer by night, sommelier by day, "Lady Vengeance" is vivacious and lives her life to the fullest, whether it’s in her day job or her life on the hunt.

Eric Stonestreet is Al, aka “Rapunzel”: Jolly and cordial, a Midwestern father of two, Al is the last person you’d ever expect to be a serial killer. But his bizarre need to strangle ponytailed women has left a trail of bodies that has terrified the country.

David Dastmalchian is Gareth, aka “The Gemini Killer”: A brilliant mind with a devious need to kill people in pairs. He’s been killing for years, leaving the FBI with zero clue of his true identity. But he’s built such a name for himself that books, movies and podcasts detail his terrifying exploits.

Nothing fantastic but if you were a fan of the show in its heyday its definitely worth a watch.

Surprisingly enjoyable. The guy they got to play young Dexter nails it

The New Blood season was pure garbage.

Hopefully this new show is a bit better.

So is he going to be hunting serial killers or will he be on the run from the police? Is he going to try to do both?

Seeing this, I'm thinking he's been captured and he is working with the police/ feds to catch these people all over the country. But he won't be able to kill them?

I'm sure he will just barely escape from being caught several times lol.

Dexter: Original Sin

I liked it. They nailed the casting for sure. They also did one of my favorite things - they had the opportunity to make a very important character flawless. And they did not.

I only watched once, but my takeaway was good. I only decided to watch because people I trust told me to check it out. I didn't regret watching at all. If you like OG Dexter, you'll likely enjoy the prequel.

Yeah original sin was way better than it had any right to be. Hoping they bring in Doakes at some point. Paul Walter Hauser needs to play a serial killer eventually on this show.

Those are some great castings above.

100% agree. I was skeptical going in, but I liked it. I need to see some young Doakes too.

WTF?! I've been out of the country and finally got back to watch Mobland first couple episodes and saw a commercial for this. I had no clue they were doing this and I'm not so sure it will be good but damned if I won't be watching

Debuted with a 100% on RT.

This is the Dexter we’ve wanted to see return since the original show ended in 2013, while also furthering the story. It’s filled with thrills, dark humor, a compelling and dramatic story, and another standout performance from Michael C. Hall

It’s a true return to form for the series, and it’s a real pleasure to have him back in our lives.
quote:

It’s not just more Dexter — it’s better Dexter. The writing is sharper, the characters are much more layered, and the moral dilemmas hit harder than ever.
quote:

While Resurrection doesn’t hit the highs of the original series, in the hands of original showrunner Clyde Phillips it does recapture the magic of what made it great.
