I also can't get over those two contradicting statements.

I read it several times wondering what I was missing.

I think the first one meant the land given for a tribe to live, while the second instance meant “for dinner.”

The Caddoans were once one of the largest tribes in Louisiana, but they were all moved to Oklahoma.

Tunica-Biloxi definitely have a reservation. They have housing where some of their members live, and their own police department.

They also operate a casino. It is called Cypress Bayou.

They also have a range of Tribe owned businesses like: Colorado Professional Resources, LLC (CPR) was formed by the Chitimacha Tribe of Louisiana to provide professional services in support of Department of Defense Agencies. CPR’s service offerings focus primarily on satellite systems engineering and training, but also offer a substantial experience base on several services in support of our Nation’s defense. CPR is a wholly-owned subsidiary of Keta Group, LLC. CPR and Keta are 100% owned by the Chitimacha Tribe of Louisiana. The Chitimacha Tribe is a federally recognized Native American Tribe.

Saw the band Live there. Had a good time. Got really hammered and had the stick lady at the craps table swat my hand for what she claimed was me throwing the dice over handed. It was definitely side arm

Don't see the tribe from New Orleans. They come out every Mardi Gras to celebrate their heritage.
