Did to republicans. When it gets proven Joe had cancer and they didn’t report it during his term it’s going to get really bad. They won’t get back in the white house until 2036.

With an honest and fair media, yes. But in reality they’ve already started circling the wagons, casting him as a sickly man for whom criticism is off limits, expressing moral outrage if anyone speaks badly of him [much like they did for his condition during his term]. They'll have media air cover. A few sold the headline but won’t dig any further.

Watergate caused Republicans 1 election with Carter. Reagan was voted in 4 years later. I pray we have more than 4 years without a Democrat as President.

Nixon resigned in 74. (R) Ford was in office until 76.
(D) Carter was in office until 80.
We didn't get another Democrat in office until 92.
And there was no way to stretch reality to say he was elected because of Watergate.
