Free-agent quarterback Aaron Rodgers had a definitive answer when asked at a recent fan event whether he'd consider playing for the New Orleans Saints.

At a question-and-answer session with rapper Mike Stud in Austin, Texas, last weekend, a fan named Alaina asked Rodgers about donning the black and gold and "saving us." The video was posted on YouTube on Friday.
quote:

No," Rodgers replied, a one-word response followed by laughter and catcalls from the crowd. After a pause, he continued: "That's the answer. It's no. I played there a couple times, but no. The answer is no. I'm too old. I don't want to live in Louisiana. Sorry."
And we don’t want you here Aaron

The problem is many players feel about Louisiana the way Rodgers does. Carr couldn’t wait to move back to California, and our shite standard of living cost us a HOF coach.

We can’t keep prisoners in jail, and when they escape we don’t bother to alert anyone for 10 hours.

The team is going to move if this region isn’t fixed quickly.

Why would we want a washed qb? I'd rather see what our young guys can do... hell, they're probably just as good (or better)

I guess he doesn't know about all the drugs he could be scoring straight off the boat.

I dont disagree with him about wanting to live in Louisiana.

But that aside, I doubt the team even reached out to even ask him. This is like saying I would never hook up with (random famous person) well yea, because it was never gona happen to begin with.

Gona laugh if the only team he is linked to in the Steelers tells him to frick off.

Pretty sure he's talking about the heat down here, because he's old. But feel free to to read into it whatever makes you feel better.

That isn’t the problem, though it’s laughable to think he wouldn’t start and help the QB room.

The problem is many players feel the same way as Rodgers about NOLA and the region. When players have a choice it’s rarely us; don’t forget we were 2nd choice for Payton and Brees because they didn’t get their preferred offers.

Move the team to San Antonio/Austin and this problem is solved.

Hopefully he is given the Crapernick treatment and no team signs him.

He seems to be talking about NOLA party culture. He’s 40+ and doesn’t care about partying anymore.

St. Louis also had this happen with the Rams. They wanted out of that terrible city.
