Crews just hit the DL and Josh Smith has been dealing with something this past week as well.

That same thing kept him out for a month when he was with the Stros from what I recall.

The true definition of a prima donna...

Red Sox should trade his arse while he still has maximum value, because they are not going anywhere this year anyway...

According to Cora…
Bregman has a “significant injury” similar to the one in 2021. I was wrong about him missing a month. It was close to 2 months. He is 4 years older and has far more wear and tear. I wouldn’t expect him to be back before mid-August with the club and finally picking back up in September. By Jen they will be long out of the playoffs or the kid they brought up will turn them around and they will try to figure out how to move Bregman.

Just one of the many reasons you don’t sign anyone, much less Bregs, to a $40 M per year contract (even only 3 yrs)

It doesn’t leave room for you to pay the roster necessary to compete for championships. Deferred or not. Windows are getting smaller.

Bregman is off to a career best start, but what did that matter? The team is struggling to play .500 ball WITH him

Now what? LOL. Never made any sense if ur a true Red Sox fan. I don’t follow baseball to pull for individual achievements

The Astros are in a far better position moving forward w/o him, and as an LSU and Bregs fan, I really take no pleasure in saying that. But don’t kid yourself, it was always about him

The Astros roster overhaul is going to cost us this season but you have to play the long game and we have a great minor league system.

Lol. Teams have started paying luxury taxes more than ever over the last two years. 8 teams in 2023 and 9 in 2024. They don’t care about salaries. They care about winning.

The system has served us well during the run, but it lacks presently

I feel like we should deal Framber at the deadline if we’re not going to extend him

With Brown coming up, I don’t see how they can sign Framber

If they’re in a market that can sell, it’s about making money, not winning

You are naive

Dodgers can defer all they want. They have a window. But either way, they make dollars and yen. The cap is there for a reason. Their fans will pay the price when they are restricted

Ask Cohen how that worked out for him with JV and Max. Let’s see how Soto does with championships

Yankees sell plenty Judge jerseys. Not hurting for profits. Ask their fans about all those playoff wins.
