I think everybody was a Josh Hamilton fan when he was big with the Rangers. Especially after what he came back from.

Universally loved is weird because people disliked Bonds. Peak Pujols may be the best example but as he aged people hated on him. Kershaw is another example great player, teammate, but is hated on only because of postseason.
