Been really busy lately and haven’t been able to be consuming media as I normally would.

Are tariffs is no longer an issue at all? Did we really settle with China?

90 Day Pause.

Down to 20% IEEPA + 10% + Section 301 (if applicable) + General Duty (if applicable).

So 30% minimum. 55% likely.

That's made it palpable.

Now everyone's ordering.

Ocean rates are about to 2x. Ports will be congested. Inland deliveries congested.

It's low enough for people to stomach unlike April 9-May 12

It was media driven hysteria.

No diff than them echoing Biden has a stutter.

It’s narratives.

Simple:

1) The corrupt Political Establishment wants non-conformist President Trump to fail.

2) The corrupt, bought-and-paid-for corporate media wants President Trump to fail.

3) The TDS-obsessed posters here want President Trump to fail.

When President Trump announced the 90-day freeze, all these groups celebrated, spiked the football, and claimed that President Trump had failed. What they didnt understand was that Trump, a consumate businessman, was simply using that as a negotiating tactic. One must be flexible while negotiating.

The tariff situation seems to be progressing nicely, so all the groups I mentioned above have moved on to other things. For example, blaming Trump for the fact that Congress is dragging their feet on passing needed legislation. President Trump isn't responsible for the fact that some elected officials in Congress are compromised, but the TDS crowd never let's the truth get in their way.

These people run on a 24-48hr menstrual cycle. If it's a juicy topic they'll extend it to 72hrs. They quite literally float on the buzzwords put out my the left then move on day to day.

Dem party has a conference/video call every Tuesday to disperse "themes" amongst leadership. Many news producers and editors are invited.

That's why you see a swing in the media in the early morning every Tuesday as a reaction to the Sunday shows.

If we can survive the slow bleed of the Biden induced massive inflation for the last 3-4 years, then we can survive a few months of instability to come out in a much better position for the rest of ‘25 and going forward. And some industries are about make a massive resurgence THANKS to these tariffs.

Tariffs are like Covid. If Americans turned off our televisions we would have barely noticed.

They’re still an issue. They’re just being priced in now.

So the extruded aluminum that you sent a PO for in last June is now $30,000 more because it crossed the border after the tariffs dropped.

But the quote you received this week from the manufacturer now has the $30,000 built into it.

I have a friend who sells Audis and he says they don't know what to do. They're holding cars in ports and just kind of waiting.

We are now told we can just use the value of the aluminum in the product and not the cost of the product.

It’s more intense to get that value but results in a much lower tariff.

Ugh.
