He let it slip that he is really unhappy with his FBI director pick. He never got to hoop with Obama, who apparently played with other members of the FBI quite often.

He is admitting that he knew what it was. He says that "86" means to remove something, he knows that "47" refers to Trump, and he admits that it was a political message. As the former head of the FBI, he understands exactly what it meant and knows what he was doing. However, the mainstream media will not hold him accountable, and he refuses to do any interviews with those who would hold him accountable.

I did find it a bit funny that he tied up the loose end of using the “restaurant definition” of 86 because his wife was a server, because obviously his yuppy arse never worked in one.
Still, between you and your wife, you couldn’t figure out that this could be considered a threat. What kind of FBI director couldn’t connect those dots.
