OBNOXIOUS graduation ceremony families

Just got back home from BR. Super proud of my son for slogging through some tough school years and finally earning his degree.
I was VERY lucky he was seated in the section that got called first to walk the stage. I got to hear his name called and see his image up on the big screen at PMAC. However, things got rowdy fast. Large families of 20 or 30 with motherfricking airhorns, screaming "that's my baby" for a full minute after their name was called. Then the dancing on stage, which caused a backup of the students behind them. Because there was about 30 seconds between name called and showing the name on the big screen, and no alpha order whatsoever, it created a situation where you would miss your kid walking the stage unless your eyes never left the big screen. I was seated in front of and behind two of these families. WITH AIR HORNS directly in my ear.
I think they need a "Quiet" or "Traditional" graduation ceremony, and anyone that acts like TRASH actually gets hauled off by security. How did security allow airhorns in in the first place?

The usual suspects?
And I believe you want the word "obnoxious."

A careful review of many hours of graduation footage has shown that the more noise produced by the family, the lower the GPA of the student.

and probably a very questionable or worthless major

Yes, the usual subjects...and trailer trash to boot.
Son-in-law walked for his PhD, so he was LAST.
Still, compared to the Baylor ceremony, it was better run here. At Baylor the families were more civilized but the arena was HOT and even with fewer graduates the miserable affair took 4.5 hours.

Yes, perhaps it was a freudian slip rather than a typo.

I will neither conform nor deny. But I do recall one of their names being (swear on my life):
Miracle LaPrincess

We were at a high school graduation for a family friend recently and we happened to be sitting next to a loud extended family. Many of them were wearing matching t-shirts of their graduate. Their celebrations were loud and long for several students that graduated, but I could put up with that.
It was the nonstop loud talking during the rest of the ceremony. We could not hear any of the speeches and we struggled to hear the names being called due to the loud talking from the group.
The student on their t-shirts was called about 80% of the way through the ceremony and the celebration was raucous... then the whole family got up and left.

on the other end of that spectrum, I'm voluntarily working late today and tomorrow to avoid a pre-school graduation ceremony and a kindergarten graduation ceremony for a couple of kids not related to me(also volunteered to work this past Saturday to avoid the season finale T-ball game for one of those kids)

Fortunately we didn't have any of that riff raff at the Engineering graduation when I was in school

I’m going to seriously consider bribing my kids to skip graduation because it is being ruined by frickin hood rats. They don’t graduate for about 17 more years so god only knows what it will be like by then. Bending societal norms is a slippery slope

Please don’t lump all the toBoot extended family together.

They should have the students walk in order of highest to lowest GPAs. It'd push a good bit of the rowdiness to the end of the ceremony.

Hood rats ruin everything they touch

Here is what I learned: If its open seating, sit at the front and create a buffer of white kids 10 in front and 10 behind you, if possible.
