They were already doing this right?

Maryland won the new headquarters last year.

Museum of the deep state. It’s bad when we have gotten to that stage, but it is even worse when there are still many people who don’t recognize it.

* Do the DVers still believe the bureau is full of “good guys” & solid citizens just trying to do the right thing??

Trump nixed that. He wants to keep the FBI in DC, but at a smaller location.

what's the go forward plan?

1) someone else moves in?
2) building demolished?
3) trashy empty building?

The FBI is set to relocate its headquarters from the J. Edgar Hoover Building in Washington, D.C. to a new facility in Greenbelt, Maryland. This decision was made by the Biden administration, which has allocated $3.5 billion for the new headquarters. The new building will be a multi-billion dollar project and is expected to take over a decade to complete. The GSA has chosen Greenbelt due to its cost-effectiveness, transportation access, and project delivery schedule certainty. The new headquarters will also include a smaller office in D.C. to house additional FBI workers.

Just for reference, One World Trade Center - the new tower - cost roughly $3.9B to build
