Spending the night near Kings Cross before heading north.
Any pub recommendations or restaurants with great pub pies?
TIA.

All the pubs in that area are owned by the same conglomerate. I don't think it matters where you go. Just get a sausage roll at Gregg's in the morning.

Couple stops south on the Victoria tube line to The Windmill, it's a great pie and pub spot. Oxford Circus station. Very good stuff.

stayed in the area last summer. Went here on the recommendation of friends who lived in the area. It's about 1/2 mile from Angel Station. We enjoyed it.

Weatherspoons. Good prices but little or fake ambiance.
Gregg’s is harder to find in London proper than the rest of the country.
Prince Arthur pub by Euston station is my favorite pub in London and a 12 minute walk from Kings Cross.
There’s also a very nice bar in the St. Pancreas renaissance hotel.

No offense but Weatherspoon’s is a chain and to be avoided.
The bar in the hotel at St. Pancras is awesome. Beautiful old structure and worth a visit.

Agree 100% that’s why I was saying the atmosphere there sucks but it will be the best pint prices in the all of London.
Much more fun to go to an independent pub.

TRUTH. Sat down there for a quick beer because it was across from the station and I was waiting on people to arrive. Table next to me filled up with people, all from Baton Rouge. We all got suckered in.
