Imagine what Trump could get accomplished if he had a GOP that would work with him.
I just don't understand why they don't want to follow the blueprint. They don't even want to be selfish pricks and stay in power.

INB4 FlaTech says they are working on the big beautiful bill and have no time...
quote:
President Donald Trump initially wanted Congress to approve a formal rescissions package that would claw back about $9 billion in previously approved federal spending, a vote that would give legislative teeth to some of the cuts DOGE has already made. The package would include major cuts to USAID and public broadcasting like NPR and PBS.
That effort is hitting a dead end on Capitol Hill, with Republicans warning the White House that it faces tough odds in their so-called megabill, even though it requires just a simple majority of 50 Republican votes in the Senate, with Vice President JD Vance breaking the tie.
The White House is recognizing that reality and is giving itself a much longer timeline to codify DOGE cuts while leaving open the option of challenging the Impoundments Act, the 1974 law that limits a president’s ability to withhold funds appropriated by Congress. Trump’s allies have argued the president already has authority to withhold spending but it would likely be up to the courts to decide, given that the Constitution gives Congress the power of the purse.

Proxy voting during maternity leave is a higher priority

Because most of them are in on the fraud. It's really that simple.

Orange just needs to go full dictator

The cuts are not hitting a wall, they are hitting Johnson, Thune and the GOPe.
Stop voting GOPe.
Stop voting GOPe.

And I still stand by this. You people really need to follow the real fricking news. There are hundreds of videos and audio interviews since the election explaining that they aren’t doing shite until the big beautiful bill is passes. This is Trump’s #1 priority. He doesn’t care about anything else from them until that big bill is written up and passed.
I don’t understand why this is so fricking difficult for you people to comprehend

Do they think that the democrats are so frightening with Temu Obama that they can take their masks off early?
If we all stay home, they don't care they lose the gavel. They want Trump impeached and they know if we punish them out Trump is a sitting duck.
They are insidious.

- why should Congress codify the cuts when the Trump administration is expected to spend more than ever ? What is the executive branch cutting?
- Congressman don't want their names associated with mass government layoffs that could prove unpopular before the midterms
- DOGE constantly changes their own savings number.

Most of the GOP are a bunch of spineless shite talkers who do nothing. There are a handful that walk the walk and the rest are almost as useless as Democrats. Trump is the only reason the Republican rating isn't almost as bad as the Democrats these days.

Gonna be a replay of what Reagan did when congress wussed out.

They need a public shaming campaign on every advertising medium available.

We should vote in the least compromised R's.

All of this is true, but I'm sure it will be overlooked or dismissed.
It also draws into question FLtech's insistence that all will be cured by the BBB, as if these same issues won't be a conflict in negotiating that fricking monstrosity of an "omnibus bill".

Veto any b spending bill that includes the funds. They go on the attack and specifically call out the Rs that voted for it. Even go as far so far as to point out who contributes to their “campaign”
Posted on 5/14/25 at 7:47 pm to cajunangelle
Veto. Just veto everything. Be the next Grover Cleveland.
We all know that's not going to happen, though. Trump LOVES spending, unfortunately.
